2024 Hero Vida V1 Plus Priced at Rs. 1.15 Lakh During Release

Hero MotoCorp has strategically relaunched the Vida V1 Plus in India, offering it for an alluring Rs. 1.15 lakh (with a portable charger and subsidy) in the majority of states. Because of this, the Vida V1 Plus becomes an alluring option to compete with devices like the Ather 450S, Ola S1 Air, S1 X+, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Simple Dot One. Due to consumers’ increasing preference for more environmentally friendly mobility options, the Indian 2W electric sector has been expanding to new heights.

But to introduce their EV under the distinct Vida sub-brand, 2W titan Hero MotoCorp had to overcome several obstacles. Launched as planned, the event was met with harsh criticism for being overpriced. Hero changed the price of the Vida V1 Pro earlier in the year, offering it for an affordable Rs. 1.4 lakh (with central subsidy).

Additional subsidies are provided by certain state governments, which further lowers the effective price. Since the Vida V1 Plus was withdrawn, the only product offered under the Vida name is the high-spec V1 Pro. As we fast-forward to 2024, Hero MotoCorp has relaunched the Vida V1 Plus at an effective price of Rs. 1.15 lakh (which includes the FAME II federal subsidy and portable charger.

Variations between the Hero V1 Pro and V1 Plus

The Hero Vida V1 Plus and the high-end Vida V1 Pro don’t really differ all that much. Along with similar componentry and seating ergonomics, both have similar stylistic characteristics. Both the V1 Plus and V1 Pro have a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard and share similar technology.

Both scooters have the same top speed of 80 km/h. A few key differences between the top-spec Vida V1 Pro and Vida V1 Plus warrant the higher price increase. To begin with, the V1 Pro boasts a larger 3.94 kWh battery pack that can cover 110 miles on a single charge. The smaller 3.44 kWh battery of the V1 Plus, on the other hand, promises a 100 km range. Even with the same 6 kW electric motor, V1 Pro accelerates by 0.2 seconds.
