Kia India introduces K-Charge, a new EV charging programme. Essentially, it’s a new feature in the “MyKia” app that lets users find and access more than 1,000 EV charging stations all throughout the nation. To help Indian EV consumers and lessen range anxiety, the company will grant non-Kia customers access to this charging network.
The company has partnered with the following five charging station operators (CPOs): E-Fill, Statiq, ChargeZone, Relux Electric, and Lion Charge. Through a unique partnership, the company is able to provide its clients with three months of complimentary charging via Relux Electric’s charging stations. The company guarantees that the CPOs apply safety and best worldwide practices.
What are the Kia officials saying?
“K-Charge is not just a convenience initiative for our customers but a step towards making sustainable mobility convenient and accessible for everyone,” stated Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia India. We firmly think that the technological shift towards a fully electric vehicle (EV) future should be seamless, and the K-Charge, which is part of the ‘MyKia’ app, is a thoughtful move in that regard.
In order to achieve this goal, we will keep working to onboard more CPOs in the future, hence growing the charging network. We have no doubt that smooth, user-friendly solutions like these will be essential in hastening India’s transition to electric automobiles.”
Users can use Map My India’s interactive map to view and find charging points. Customers can use K-Charge to find charging spaces based on their preferences, check if any are available, and even pay using the app’s money service on the same platform.
