Simple Energy has announced that it will release the Simple Dot One, a new, more affordable electric scooter, on December 15. The Dot One will be priced lower than the Simple One. It was previously reported in August of this year that the Bengaluru-based EV startup had filed two trademarks in India: Simple Dot One and Dot One. Although they will use the same platform, the Dot One will be more accessible because it will cost less than Rs 1 lakh; the precise price will be revealed at the time of launch.
“Today marks a significant chapter in the journey of Simple Energy as we proudly introduce the Simple Dot One, the latest affordable addition to our pioneering Simple One series,” stated Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, in a statement on this auspicious occasion. With the Simple Dot One, our mission to provide accessible electric mobility comes together, combining cutting-edge capabilities with a stylish appearance.
Features and specs for Simple Dot One
The Dot One will be fitted with a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack that boasts an IDC range of 160 km and a certified range of 151 km on a single charge, while Simple has not yet disclosed the precise specifications of the electric motor. Simple also discloses that the Dot One’s tyres are different from the normal Simple One’s, which contributes to efficiency.
With more than 30 litres of under-seat storage, the Dot One blends functionality and practicality. It also comes equipped with features like an app-connected touchscreen instrument cluster that controls many functions for enhanced convenience.
