A Significant Price Drop Of Up To Rs. 2.30 Lakh On The MG ZS EV

The MG ZS EV’s price has now been reduced by up to Rs 2.30 lakh by MG Motor India, following price reductions for the Hector and Hector Plus. The Excite model of the MG ZS EV now has a starting price of Rs 22.88 lakh, and the Exclusive Pro variant has a starting price of Rs 25.90 lakh. In addition to being a part of its 100th anniversary celebrations, MG Motor India claims that these new pricing are the result of both a decrease in input costs and a streamlining of the supply chain.

The base ZS EV Excite now costs Rs 22.88 lakh, which is Rs 50,000 less than what it did previously, when it was priced at Rs 23.38 lakh. The Exclusive variant has experienced the most price reduction of Rs 2.30 lakh, going from Rs 27.30 lakh to Rs 25.00 lakh. Additionally, the newly released Exclusive Pro variant, which now includes the entire ADAS lineup from MG, is priced at Rs 25.90 lakh, down from Rs 27.90 lakh at the time of introduction.

Features of the MG ZS EV powertrain

A front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with 177 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque powers the ZS EV. Its 50.3kWh battery can power it for up to 461km on a single charge. According to MG, the battery can be fully charged with a 7.4kW charger from 0-100 percent in up to 9 hours and a 50kW DC fast charger from 0-80 percent in an hour.

The MG ZS EV comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless charger, 7-inch digital instrument panel, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, linked car technology, and more. ADAS, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and hill descent control are all safety features. A 50.3kWh battery pack and a single motor configuration power the all-electric SUV. The motor is configured to give a claimed 419km of range on a single charge while producing 174bhp and 280Nm of torque.

The automaker most recently opened a new 2S facility in Trivandrum. This building has a floor area of 25,000 square feet. With this, MG currently has touchpoints in 157 Indian cities totaling more than 340.

Competitors of the MG ZS EV

The Tata Nexon EV (Rs 14.74 lakh–Rs 19.94 lakh), Mahindra XUV400 (Rs 15.99 lakh–R 19.19 lakh), and Hyundai Kona (Rs 23.84 lakh) are among competitors of the ZS EV. The Tata Nexon EV Long Range (LR) is just Rs 2.94 lakh more expensive than the top-spec MG ZS EV electric SUV, which has a starting price of Rs 22.88 lakh. As a result, we anticipate that many clients would shortlist the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 in addition to the MG ZS EV electric SUV.
