2023 Tata Nexon EV Facelift vs Mahindra XUV400 EV vs MG ZS EV: Comparison

The Tata Nexon EV facelift is now available for purchase with extensive aesthetic and feature changes at a starting price of Rs 14.74 lakh. The revised Nexon EV comes in two versions, Medium Range (MR), and Long Range (LR), and is provided in three main variants: Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. 

The Mahindra XUV400 EV and Tata’s revised subcompact electric SUV are still competitors, while the MG ZS EV may be purchased for less money. Let’s examine how they compare in terms of pricing, features etc.

Which is the largest?

The XUV400 is 4200mm long, the Nexon EV Max is 3993mm long, and the ZS is 4323mm long. The Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS have a wheelbase of 2498mm and 2581mm, respectively, compared to the XUV400’s 2600mm.

What EV has the greatest range?

The 39.4kW battery pack in the XUV400 offers a 456km range. The ZS EV has a range of 461 km compared to the EV Max’s 437 km. The EV Max and MG both have a 40.5kw battery pack, whilst the EV Max has a 50.3kW battery pack. All three feature various modes including regenerative braking.

Which electric vehicle offers more features?

Premium features like a sunroof, climate control, connected car technology, and more come standard on all three EVs. The Nexon EV Max receives ventilated seats, the Mahindra receives OTA updates, and the MG receives a 360-degree view camera among other things. Six airbags are standard on the Mahindra and MG, compared to two on the Tata Nexon EV Max.

Which one offers the best value?

While the MG ZS costs between Rs 21.99 lakh and Rs 25.88 lakh, the Nexon EV Max is priced between Rs 18.3 lakh and Rs 20.04 lakh. The price of Mahindra’s XUV400 will be made public in January of the following year. The XUV400 will be more affordable than the Nexon EV Max. The XUV400 is a different EV choice for buyers who want to spend between Rs 15 and Rs 25 lakh.
