IPM India, a country affiliate of Philip Morris International, Inc. (PMI), has added electric vehicles (EVs) to its logistics fleet in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. The EVs will save more than 13 tonnes of CO2 per year and are part of IPM India’s long-term sustainability goals.
IPM India Introduces Electric Vehicles to Optimize Sustainable Logistics Network
Each EV has the capacity to carry a weight of up to 1000 kg and can easily cover a distance of 100 kilometres on a single charge. The EVs are also equipped with a variety of safety features, including airbags and ABS.
The addition of EVs to IPM India’s logistics fleet is a significant step towards the company’s goal of transitioning to a carbon-neutral model. The company plans to expand its EV fleet across key cities in India in the coming years.
