By 2030, Bengaluru will spearhead an increase of 5 million electric vehicle jobs

Bangalore will serve as India’s EV hub and the city with the most employment prospects in the sector by the year 2030. This message contains additional information on this. Several international nations have begun to favour electric vehicles. India is still implementing EV technology. However, many auto enthusiasts throughout the world believe that India will eventually become the centre for the production of electric automobiles.

50 lakh new direct job possibilities will be created in India as a result of the use of electric vehicles, claims Careernet, a Bangalore-based provider of workforce solutions. In the last three years, sales of electric vehicles have already surged by almost 2000% in India. In line with this, from 2020 to 2022, employment prospects brought on by electric vehicles surged by 110%. According to Careernet, 28% of the jobs that will be produced in Bangalore, India’s software hub, would be for the use and repair of electric vehicles, creating career prospects for 4 lakh individuals in 2022 alone.

Bengaluru is not just manufacturing but also developing, according to Neelap Shukla, Chief Commercial Officer of Carriernet. “Bangalore is emerging as a strong centre for the EV industry,” she said. Since most of the research is done in this location, there is no typical car manufacturing market.

The creation of integrated batteries for electric vehicles was the most in-demand profession in Bengaluru during the most recent fiscal year 2022–2023 (FY2022–2023). Similarly to this, more people are now employed in positions that support the creation of electric automobiles. The two most in-demand professions now are engineering and research & development.
