1. Tata Tiago EV – Price: Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh
The most affordable electric vehicle on the Indian market right now is the Tata Tiago EV. Two different battery pack options are available for it: a 19.2 kWh unit and a 24 kWh model. Depending on the battery pack, they are said to have a driving range of 250 to 310 km when fully charged. They produce 60 bhp and 74 bhp, respectively.
2. Citroen C3 EV – Price: Rs 11.50 lakh to Rs 12.13 lakh
The eC3 by Citroen, an electric vehicle based on the C3 hatchback, was recently introduced in India. It has a 29.2 kWh LFP battery pack and is advertised as having a 320 km range on a single charge. A single electric motor mounted on the front axle of this electric vehicle produces 56 horsepower and 143 Newton metres of torque. The maximum speed of the Citroen eC3 EV is 107 kmph.
3. Tata Tigor EV – Price: Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 13.75 lakh
The only electric sedan on the market right now that costs less than Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom, is the Tata Tigor EV. It has an electric motor and a 26 kWh liquid-cooled, IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack. This engine produces a maximum torque of 170 Nm and 74 bhp. A driving range of 315 kilometres per charge is guaranteed by ARAI certification.
4. Tata Nexon EV – Price: Rs 14.49 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh
The most popular electric SUV in India right now is the Tata Nexon EV. It is currently offered in the Prime and Max versions, and it completely changed Tata Motors’ EV journey in India. While the Nexon EV Max receives a larger 40.5 kWh battery, the Nexon EV Prime receives a smaller 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. They each purport to have a driving range of 312 and 437 kilometres per charge.
5. Mahindra XUV400 – Price: Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh
Mahindra’s first electric SUV for the general public is the last electric vehicle on this list. For the EL version, the new Mahindra XUV400 receives a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is said to provide a range of 456 km on a single charge. Its base EC variants have a 34.5 kWh battery and can travel 375 km on a single charge.
