Citroen eC3 makes its India debut with a whopping ₹11.5 lakh

Citroen, a French automaker, has debuted its first electric vehicle in India. The E-C3 EV, which made its debut in the country earlier this year, will have a starting price of 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors is the most prominent company in the affordable EV space. Tata Motors appears to have captured both the PV and CV segments with the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, and Xpres-T. Citroen eC3 must offer a lot to get a piece of this pie.

The Citroen eC3 is priced starting at Rs. 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Live trim.

Feel trims with dual tone colour and the Vibe Pack are priced at Rs. 12.43 lakh. eC3 costs Rs. 5.52 lakh more with base variants and Rs. 5.23 lakh more with top-spec variants than its ICE counterpart, C3 hatchback.

Its main rival is the Tata Tiago EV, which starts at Rs. 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for 19.2 kWh battery pack variants, Rs. 10.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for 24 kWh variants with 3.3 kW AC charger, and Rs. 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for 24 kWh variants with 7.2 kW AC charger.

Tiago EV has four trim levels to choose from, whereas eC3 only has two. There are two powertrain options, as well as two charger options. Tiago EV has 7 variants in total. The eC3 has only one powertrain and two trim levels, with cosmetic options such as dual tone and Vibe Pack. It is immediately apparent that Tiago EV has more options to choose from.
