PURE EV launches new Electric Scooter at Rs. 99,999 in India

PURE EV, an electric two-wheeler company based in India, has announced the price of its ecoDryft electric motorcycle. The motorcycle will cost Rs 99,999. (ex-Showroom Delhi, inclusive of state subsidy). The ecoDryft comes in four different colours: black, grey, blue, and red.

PURE EV claims that ecoDryft was designed and developed at the company’s Hyderabad technical and manufacturing centre.

It’s worth noting that the Rs 99,999 launch price is limited to the state of New Delhi, whereas the ecoDryft has a pan-India ex-showroom price of Rs 1,14,999. The on-road price will vary according to state-level subsidies and RTO fees. PURE EV is also expanding its dealer network in major cities and towns across the country. According to the company, it is already exporting its products to South Asian countries and has plans to expand into African and Middle Eastern markets.

With three driving modes, the motorcycle has a top speed of 75 kmph and an on-road range of up to 130 km. The drive-train of the ecoDryft includes an AIS 156 certified 3.0 KWH battery with smart BMS and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a 3 kW motor and a digital instrument cluster. According to Vadera, the launch of ecoDryft is significant because commute motorcycles account for 65 percent of the country’s 2W sales.
