Okaya EV, an electric two-wheeler brand, has announced its entry into Sri Lanka and opened its first shop in Colombo. According to the firm, this showroom in the capital displays the whole lineup of Okaya EVs in terms of pricing, mileage, and top speed.
In addition, Okaya has announced the debut of Sri Lanka’s first-ever fully electric bike in collaboration with Douglas and Sons (DSL).
Okaya EV said in its release that it is “continuing with its commitment of delivering a wide range of e-scooters to its customers all across the globe.” “We take pride in opening our first showroom of Sri Lanka at Colombo, simultaneously with launching the country’s first-ever fully electric bike in partnership with Douglas and sons,” Anshul Gupta, Managing Director of Okaya Electric Vehicles said.
Saroj Perera, DSL’s chairman and managing director, Anil Gupta, Vice President of International Business at OKAYA Power Private Limited, and Gopal Baglay, India’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, launched the OKAYA EV store in Colombo. Okaya EV currently sells three electric scooters in the Indian and Sri Lankan markets: the Fast F4, the Fast F2B, and the Freedum (slow speed).
