Servotech and LESSzwei GmbH Join Forces for 100% Solar-Powered EV Charging in Germany
Introducing the EnerMAAS Project
This innovative initiative, named EnerMAAS, is set to create a sustainable and scalable charging ecosystem that leverages AI-driven energy management systems. These systems will optimize energy usage and minimize environmental impact, making it easier for urban residents to adopt eco-friendly transportation options.
EnerMAAS will transform existing photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions into cutting-edge street charging points, referred to as BIKE-Ports. These stations will harness 100% solar power to provide fast and reliable charging around the clock. Each BIKE-Port will be capable of simultaneously charging four two-wheelers with a total output of 3.3 kW, ensuring that users can quickly power up their vehicles.
The project has received grant financing from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) in Germany and is set to span 2.7 years.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this partnership, Servotech will take charge of the manufacturing and supply of the solar-powered EV charging stations, while LESS2 will focus on developing the necessary artificial intelligence and app solutions to enhance user experience. The initial phase will see the deployment of 100 charging systems, with two stations installed in each of 50 selected cities across Germany.
A Vision for Sustainable Urban Mobility
Raman Bhatia, Founder and Managing Director of Servotech Power Systems Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to partner with LESSzwei GmbH on this groundbreaking project. This collaboration aligns perfectly with Servotech’s vision of accelerating the adoption of sustainable energy solutions and establishing a strong international footprint. By leveraging our expertise in solar energy and EV charging infrastructure, we are confident that the EnerMAAS project will revolutionize the way we power micromobility in German urban areas.”
A Step Towards a Greener Future
This partnership represents a significant leap toward creating a more sustainable and efficient urban transportation system. By combining Servotech’s extensive knowledge in solar energy and EV charging with LESSzwei GmbH’s innovative IT technology and energy management solutions, the two companies are well-positioned to deliver transformative solutions for the rapidly growing micromobility market in Germany.
As cities around the world strive to reduce their carbon footprints and promote sustainable transportation, the EnerMAAS project stands out as a beacon of innovation and collaboration. With the deployment of solar-powered charging infrastructure, urban residents will have greater access to clean energy solutions, paving the way for a greener future.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project and the impact it will have on urban mobility in Germany!
