The Tata Harrier EV will have two motors and a design language that is reminiscent of the Harrier EV concept that was displayed at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. With the upcoming debut of its flagship electric SUV, the Harrier EV, Tata Motors has been making notable progress in the electric vehicle (EV) market.
Initially, the business stated that it would launch two new EVs during the 2024–2025 fiscal year. Tata Motors has stated in its results call that the Harrier EV will make its debut by the end of FY 2024-25, with a planned launch date of March 2025, following the August introduction of the Curvv EV. At the moment, Tata Motors has the largest selection of EVs in India, as well as EV-specific dealerships.
Tata Harrier EV: Specifications and Features
The Tata Harrier EV will have two motors and a design language that is reminiscent of the Harrier EV concept that was displayed at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. Similar to the Harrier facelift, the Harrier EV will have a redesigned bumper, new alloy wheels with aero elements, a closed-off grille, and no exhaust pipes.
Features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, a panoramic sunroof, a motorized tailgate, and rear sun blinds are anticipated to be carried over from the Harrier’s ICE (internal combustion engine) variant.
The engine is expected to perform better than the Curvv EV, with a stated range of more than 500 kilometers. Both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions are probably going to be available for the Harrier EV. The Harrier EV, which retails for about ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom), will go up against the XEV 9e, Mahindra XUV.e8, Maruti eVX, and BYD Atto 3.The new Tata Harrier EV will be introduced by the end of the current fiscal year, which is March 2025, according to a recent confirmation from Tata Motors during one of its financial meetings. Although the electric SUV’s official launch date has not yet been announced by the company, it is likely to happen in the upcoming four months.
