The eMax 7 MPV from BYD India is priced at Rs 26.9 lakh

The new BYD eMAX 7, which replaces the e6, is priced between ₹26.9 lakh and ₹29.9 lakh. There are two distinct models to choose from, and each can have either six or seven seats. The improvements include multiple ADAS functions and two battery options with a potential 530 km NEDC range. incorporates extra practical features like a panoramic sunroof.

The BYD eMAX 7 interior and design

The eMAX 7’s design doesn’t really differ from the e6’s. Its clean, basic design features 17-inch wheels and crisp lines from front to back. Around it is LED lighting, and at the back is a full-width tail lights.

With dual-tone interior and options for both 6 and 7 seats, the eMAX 7’s interior has undergone additional refinement. It has a 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment screen and a 5-inch cluster on the dash, to start. The top-of-the-line Supreme version has electronic front seat adjustment and ventilation, while the base Premium variant has manual adjustment and no ventilation. A panoramic sunroof and ADAS technologies are also included in the top-tier model.

Convenience features include wireless phone charging, keyless entry and stop, one-touch up/down for all windows, and AC vents for the back seats. There are six airbags, ABS, EBD, TC, ESP, TPMS, and other standard safety equipment. 180 liters of boot space and 580 liters of boot space when the third row is folded. Additionally, the second row of the eMAX 7 can be fully folded.

The Blade battery is still used in the base Premium model, but it now comes with a smaller battery as well. There are two battery types available: 55.4kWh and 71.8kWh. The smaller battery has a claimed NEDC range of 420 km, while the larger battery has a range of 530 km (521 km in e6). The smaller battery produces 161 horsepower, while the larger battery produces 201 horsepower. The power outputs also differ. Both produce torque of 310 Nm.

Regarding charging, BYD states that while the larger battery can handle 115kW DC charging, the smaller battery can only handle 89kW DC charging. When you purchase the eMAX 7, a 7kW AC charger is included in the bundle. BYD is providing an 8-year/160,000km warranty for the motor and motor controller, as well as an 8-year/150,000km warranty for the battery. Furthermore, a 6-year/150,000-kilometer guarantee is offered for the high voltage electric control assembly and the DC-DC assembly.
