New Upcoming eSUVs from Mahindra, Tata, Hyundai, and Maruti

The popularity of electric SUVs is growing in India. A number of intriguing electric SUVs in a range of price points and segments have been introduced in recent months. Thanks in large part to the electric SUV Nexon EV, Tata Motors is still at the top of the EV game! There will likely be a lot more intriguing electric SUV releases in the months and years to come. This brings us to the Indian market’s impending mid-size electric SUVs.

Maruti Suzuki eVX

Early in 2025, the Maruti Suzuki eVX is expected to launch, making its market debut in India by year’s end. Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai is developing an all-electric version of their well-liked SUV, the Creta. The EV will not be built on a skateboard, but rather an electrified version of the modified K2 platform that powers the current generation Creta. It is expected to be equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack from LG, and the electric motors will come from the second-generation Kona EV that is sold abroad. The system could generate 255 Nm and 140 PS. Up to 250 kilometers should get you through a charge. Official confirmation of these is still pending.

Mahindra XUV700 EV (e8)

The XUV 700 EV, or e8 as it may be known at launch, is a member of Mahindra’s impending electric vehicle offensive. It will be built on the INGLO skateboard platform from the automaker. Several design cues and panels from the ICE model will be included into the manufacturing form. Anticipate to see recognizable roofline, doors, and bonnet designs.

But a new front fascia will be present in the manufacturing model. Skoda Elroq

In 2025, Skoda is expected to introduce the recently unveiled Elroq SUV to the Indian market. The electric SUV has already gone on sale in Europe and features Volkswagen Group’s MEB Platform as its backbone. Nowadays, a lot of VW and Skoda global EV cars employ this architecture. The worldwide Elroq is available with three different battery packs: 55 kWh (370+ km range), 63 kWh (400+ km range), and 85 kWh (560+ km range). Which of these will be available on the Indian specification is still up in the air.

The Elroq is a stylish EV with its Teck-deck Face and “four-eyes” LED DRLs. Its rear design is similar to that of the Kodiaq and Enyaq IV, and it rides on 20-inch wheels.
