JSW MG Motor India plans to introduce the MG Windsor EV in September and hopes to sell 50% of EVs by FY25

JSW In FY25, MG Motor India hopes to have 50% of its total sales come from electric cars (EVs). September will see the release of the MG Windsor EV by the firm. As we are ready to introduce the MG Windsor EV, India’s first compact utility vehicle, we want to achieve more than 50% of our total sales from electric vehicles this year, thereby strengthening our position in the country’s changing automotive market.

We believe that our comprehensive approach to the EV ecosystem presents a tremendous opportunity to help define India’s future sustainability. Our goal includes researching battery technology, building recycling systems, and investing in clean technologies in addition to producing EV components locally.

JSW MG Motor India Future Plan

The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) has teamed up with businesses all over the nation to build an ecosystem for electric car batteries. “We’re collaborating with partners like Attero, Lohum, and BatX to establish an EV circular economy,” the OEM said. eHUB, a multilingual unified charging platform with the largest charging network that offers seamless charging experiences and trip-planning features, and Project Revive, which investigates EV battery second-life use cases in collaboration with Lohum, BatX, and TERI for community applications, are two of our initiatives that we launched in recognition of stakeholder challenges.

To help India’s transition to sustainable mobility, we’ve also launched EVPEDIA, the industry’s first EV education platform, the spokesperson continued. Additionally, the business had previously declared that it is growing its footprint in both developing tier-2 communities and major metropolitan areas. With its electric cars, the OEM has also had success outside of major cities. Currently operating in 162 locations with about 400 touchpoints, the company aims to achieve 500 touchpoints by the end of 2024 and position its service centers to respond within 30 minutes.
