MG Windsor EV India Release On September 11

The MG Windsor EV, an anticipated electric crossover from JSW MG Motor, is scheduled to debut in India on September 11, 2024. The new electric vehicle from MG, called after Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom and already available for purchase abroad as the Wuling Cloud, is anticipated to join the sub-Rs 20 lakh EV market in India, where Tata Motors now holds a near monopoly.

MG Windsor EV Measurements

Rebadged as the Windsor EV, the MG Windsor EV is anticipated to be slightly shorter than the MG ZS EV at 4,295 mm in length. But in terms of width (1,850 mm) and height (1,652 mm), it exceeds the ZS EV. Its wheelbase, at 2,700 mm, is noticeably longer than that of the ZS EV, which is 2,585 mm. In pictures, it seems like a big hatchback, but JSW MG Motor India says it’s a crossover.

It is anticipated that the battery utilized in the Cloud, which employs lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) cells and has a capacity of 50.6 kWh, would be carried over to the Windsor EV. It is anticipated to have a range of up to 460 kilometers, just like the ZS EV. A DC fast charger will charge it to 80% in less than 30 minutes, however a standard AC charger will take more than 7 hours to fully charge. 134 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque are produced by a single electric motor that powers the Windsor EV’s front wheels; this is less power than the ZS EV.
