The manufacturer of the most cutting-edge electric cars in the world, Lucid Group, Inc., today unveiled upgrades for the 2025 model year that further lift the standard and allow the Air Pure to a record-breaking 5.0 miles per kWh of energy and a 146 MPGe EPA rating. The real-world range is boosted by the heat pump, which was initially used on the Sapphire, and the user experience is enhanced by a potent new infotainment processor.
The CEO and CTO of Lucid, Peter Rawlinson, stated, “The advancements introduced across the Air lineup for 2025 further cement our leadership position.”
Lucid Air Breaking Records for Energy Efficiency
The 2025 Lucid Air Pure, made possible by additional advancements in ground-breaking technology, is the most energy-efficient car. It is the first to reach 5 miles per kilowatt hour of energy, with an EPA-estimated 420-mile range from an 84 kWh battery pack. This marks a significant milestone in the global effort to promote sustainable transportation.
This indicates that compared to comparable vehicles on the market today, the new Lucid Air Pure uses less electrical energy on continuous trips from point A to point B. Electric vehicles can get the desired range while lowering the size of expensive battery packs since they require less energy to operate. Building more cars with a given quantity of raw materials is also made possible by reducing the size of battery packs. When it comes time to recharge, the smaller battery in the Lucid Air Pure allows for faster charging while traveling and lessens the load on public power systems.
