Tata Motors has finally released the first official teaser for the Tata Curvv coupe SUV, building on months of anticipation. Prior to going on sale with an internal combustion engine (ICE), this new model will make its premiere as an electric vehicle (EV). The Curvv EV is an all-electric car with a coupe body shape that was created from the ground up. The Tata Curvv has a number of unique design elements. It has a muscular front and bumper, dual LED headlamps and a full-width light bar across the front. The car also features linked LED taillights, sleek door handles, and a sloping roofline.
The Nexon’s rear reflector placement and design are comparable. Tata’s Generation 2 chassis, which accommodates both ICE and electric drivetrains, will house the revolutionary Curvv. It will have flush-fit door handles, updated headlamp and fog lamp housing, and other distinctive design elements, all while maintaining the same design language as the new Nexon, Harrier, and Safari.
TATA Cuurvv Coupe SUV: Features and Technology
The Curvv EV will include several cutting-edge innovations. Among them is a 12-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It will also include touch-based HVAC controls, heated front seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, an all-digital instrument cluster, a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, an all-digital surround camera, and ADAS technology.
According to recent spy photos, the Curvv EV will also get a panoramic sunroof with two panes. More natural light and an air of openness in the cabin are two benefits of this improvement that increase the vehicle’s appeal. A 360-degree surround camera, powered ORVMs, ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, a JBL sound system with a subwoofer, push-button start, and wireless smartphone charging are just a few of the noteworthy features that are anticipated to be featured. The inclusion of a panoramic sunroof in the Curvv has been confirmed by prior spy photos.
Expect it to benefit from a Level 2 ADAS in terms of safety. Curvy will be offered in both ICE-powered and battery-powered forms, as was previously indicated. Curvv’s electric variant is anticipated to come in single- and dual-motor configurations. Whereas the latter will have all-wheel drive, the former will have front-wheel drive. The range for each will be between 400 and 500 kilometres on a single charge. The 1.5-litre diesel engine and 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Nexon will be used in the fossil fuel-powered Curvv but at a higher rev limit.
There will be a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT handling the gearbox chores. A DCT with seven speeds might also pass muster. In addition to the usual rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and others, the Citroen Basalt, another future coupe SUV, will be the direct competitor of the Tata Curvv when it launches. The Curvv will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki eVX, both of which are presently under development, in their fully electric form.
