Tata Motors will introduce the Curvv, Harrier, Sierra, and Avinya as its four new EVs by FY26

Tata Motors has ambitious goals for the upcoming years in electric vehicles (EVs) and passenger vehicles (PVs). It is well known that introducing new generation vehicles like the Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Punch, Harrier, and Safari has resulted in a remarkable expansion of Tata’s PV industry in recent years.

In the meantime, Tata Motors, an automaker based in Pune, has emerged as the industry leader in the four-wheeler EV segment thanks to the success of its all-electric models, which include the Tiago EV, Nexon EV, and Punch EV.

New EV from Tata Motors by 2026

According to the most recent investor presentation, Tata Motors plans to launch four completely new electric vehicles by 2026. The current fiscal year will see the launch of the first two, the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV. The company has not yet provided a precise debut date, but we anticipate the business releasing the Curvv coupe electric SUV around the forthcoming holiday season. Conversely, the Harrier EV might arrive on Indian roads in the first part of 2019.

Sierra EV and Avinya EV will be the following in line. In the past few years, concepts for all four models have already been shown in public venues like Auto Expo. It has stated that for its next generation of fully electric vehicles, it will use the Acti.ev and EMA architectures. While the latter will serve as the foundation for future luxury EVs from Tata Motors, the former is anticipated to support more mass-market EVs.

Tata has stated that, similar to the Punch EV, the Acti.ev architecture would enable vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities, even though the precise powertrain specifications are currently being kept under wraps. In the past few years, test mules for Curvv.ev and Harrier.ev have already been surveilled several times. Although we are currently awaiting additional information, we anticipate that the Sierra EV will be built on the Acti.ev design.
