BMW India opens bookings for the superb 601 hp i5 M60 EV

BMW’s electrification plan includes portfolio expansion, particularly in the EV segment, in India. The German automaker has started accepting reservations for the i5 M60, its sixth electric vehicle, in India, riding high in the BEV market. The vehicle, which will be sold to us as a Fully Built-Up (CBU) model, is now available for reservation at any BMW dealership or online at the BMW Online Shop.

BMW i5 M60 EV’s new features

May is when deliveries are expected to start. Currently available in worldwide markets, the BMW i5 M60 is sold with an 84.3 kWh battery pack. With a peak torque of 820 Nm and a power output of 601 horsepower, it can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. With its remarkable WLTP range of 516 km, this dual-motor, all-wheel drive EV is also equipped with enough power to eliminate range anxiety in India. The manufacturer provides a 110V/220V flexible rapid charging cable for charging. This EV is limited to a top speed of 209 kmph. 

This electric vehicle boasts a 14.9-inch driver’s display in addition to a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connection. Among the other noteworthy features are the rear-window defroster, tire pressure monitoring system, and dynamic cruise control. Its safety features include a head protection system for both front and back passengers, a rearview camera, park distance control, lane departure warning, front collision warning, blind spot recognition, and more.
