Hyundai Ioniq 5 Safety and Interior

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been redesigned with many new interior amenities. A revamped touch-sensitive screen for climate control, a relocated wireless charging pad, and the addition of physical buttons for frequently used functions are among the notable modifications. Additionally, the model has an OTA update-capable connected car navigation cockpit (ccNC). Compared to the present model, the revised Ioniq 5 is longer. The 2024 Ioniq 5 is 20 mm longer at 4,655 mm, although its other external measurements stay the same at 1,890 mm for width, 1,605 mm for height, and 3,000 mm for wheelbase. Hyundai also extended the rear spoiler by 50mm to increase aerodynamics.

The manufacturer claims that even the redesigned wheels have improved aerodynamics. In contrast, the new Ioniq 5 N Line boasts a much more aggressive look with its wheel arches, flared side panels, and upgraded bumpers. Similar to the ordinary model, the N Line version sports a pair of 20-inch alloy wheels.

The Ioniq 5’s cabin is still roomy, and its central console has a floating twin 12.3-inch digital screen in addition to several physical buttons for enhanced usefulness. The Hyundai EV is equipped with a heated steering wheel, parking assist, and front seats that are both vented and heated. The cupholders and wireless phone charger have been moved to the center console between the front seats for convenience. Hyundai replaced the previous two-spoke steering wheel with a new three-spoke model that features pixel lighting. It is anticipated that Hyundai India will release this revised model as a CKD vehicle in the Indian market. Furthermore, similar to its predecessor, we anticipate that the revised model will be extremely successful in India.
