New MG Motors Electric Car to Debut Around 2024 Festive Season

MG Motors intends to launch a new electric vehicle (EV) in the Indian market shortly. The MG Comet EV and the MG ZS EV are the two EV models that the manufacturer now offers in the nation. According to MG Motors MD Rajeev Chaba, the company’s brand-new electric vehicle will make its Indian debut shortly. The brand’s first model to be released following its partnership with SAIC Motor and JSW Group will be the electric vehicle. The latter is a business enterprise led by Sajjan Jindal, while the former is the parent firm of MG Motor.

Around India’s holiday season this year, MG Motors is anticipated to introduce its next-generation electric vehicle. This indicates that the deadline is close to the end of 2024. The business has not yet provided a precise date, but that information should become available as soon as the new MG electric car’s name is decided upon.

However, MG intends to increase its market share in India and will probably introduce a number of models in the upcoming years. The planned EV is a calculated move to increase its market share. In addition, MG Motors is taking into account the entry-level SUV market. Since there has been no formal confirmation, we expect MG Motors to launch the Baojun Yep Plus in the nation. In summary, the Comet-based 5-door electric SUV Baojun Yep Plus was just introduced to worldwide markets. It may be branded with the MG logo when it enters the Indian market.

A rear axle-mounted motor with a peak power output of 68 horsepower and a torque of 140 Nm powers this e-SUV. With a 28 kWh battery module, the Baojun Yep Plus has a maximum speed of 150 kph and a range of up to 431 kilometers on a full charge.
