The Most Selling 12 EVs in India as of 2023

The market for electric vehicles is expanding quickly in India; between October 2022 and September 2023, EV sales made up over 5% of all vehicle sales.   2. Mahindra XUV400: Introduced in India in March 2023, the Mahindra XUV400 is an all-electric sport utility vehicle. It has a 400-km stated range on a single charge and is delivered with a 75 kWh battery pack.
  3. Tata Nexon EV Facelift: The 2020 model year saw the release of the Tata Nexon EV, which along with its ICE (internal combustion engine) version, received a much-needed facelift in 2023. With a stated driving range of up to 465 kilometres, the Nexon EV is still available with two different battery pack options: 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh.
  4. Volvo C40 Recharge: In May 2023, the all-electric Volvo C40 Recharge made its debut in India. It boasts a stated range of up to 420 kilometres on a single charge and is delivered with a 78 kWh battery pack.
  5. Hyundai IONIQ 5: In June 2023, the all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 5 SUV made its debut in India. It can travel up to 480 km on a single charge and comes with a 58 kWh or 72.6 kWh battery pack.
  6. Mercedes-Benz EQE: Introduced in July 2023 in India, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is an all-electric sedan. It is equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack and can go up to 660 kilometres between charges.
  7. Audi e-tron GT: Introduced in India in August 2023, the Audi e-tron GT is an all-electric sporting vehicle. With a single charge, it is said to have a range of up to 488 kilometres using a 93.4 kWh battery pack.
  8. Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo: This all-electric waggon made its debut in India in September of 2023. With a single charge, it is said to have a range of up to 456 kilometres using a 93.4 kWh battery pack.
  9. MG ZS EV Facelift: In October 2023, the MG ZS EV made its Indian debut after undergoing a facelift in 2023. With a single charge, its stated range is 340 kilometres using a 44.5 kWh battery pack.
  10. Kia EV6: Introduced in India in November 2023, the Kia EV6 is an all-electric sport utility vehicle. It can travel up to 510 miles on a single charge and comes with a 58 kWh or 77.4 kWh battery pack.
  11. Nissan Ariya: In December 2023, the all-electric SUV Nissan Ariya made its debut in India. It can travel up to 610 kilometres on a single charge and is equipped with a 63 kWh or 87 kWh battery pack.
  12. Toyota bZ4X: The all-electric SUV is scheduled to go on sale in India in January 2024. It boasts a stated range of up to 500 miles on a single charge and is delivered with a 71 kWh battery pack.
