As a result of their current outspokenness over sustainability, a number of celebrities support the use of electric cars (EVs). But only a select few—among them Suniel Shetty—walk the walk. The seasoned actor just acquired an MG Comet EV for his garage, which is his first electric vehicle.

After the ZS EV, the battery-powered tallboy hatch was introduced to the Indian market earlier this year, making it MG’s second EV there. Pace, Play, and Plush are its three available varieties, and their costs range from Rs 7.98 lakh to Rs 10.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
The actor posted a picture of his new item on social media and posed for a picture with the MG Comet EV. The description for the photo said, “My first EV, “The MG Comet”…love it!” The top-spec Plush variety, draped in a Starry Black tint, is what the Hera Pheri actor has chosen.Â
Features & specs of the MG Comet EV
The Comet EV’s specifications include a 17.3 kWh battery pack that can go up to 230 kilometres on a single charge. An electric motor installed on the rear axle generates 41 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque using energy from the battery. A 3.3kW charger can take up to seven hours to fully charge.
LED headlights and taillights, a dual 10.25-inch integrated digital screen system for entertainment and instrumentation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, and more than 55 connected car capabilities are among the features available in the micro hatch. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a reverse parking camera, and rear parking sensors are among the features of the safety package.
In addition, Suniel Shetty is renowned for being a car enthusiast who has a large collection of vehicles, including Land Rover Defender 110, Mercedes Benz GLS 350D, and Hummer H2.
