We just provided you with a list of every new SUV that will be available in India by the end of 2024. Following up on our guide to new cars for 2024, we now present to you the complete list of all new electric cars that will go on sale in India during the course of the upcoming year. This includes all-new cars like Maruti’s eVX and Skoda Enyaq iV, as well as super SUVs like the Lotus Eletre, as well as electrified versions of current models like the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and Punch, and the Mahindra XUV700.

Upcoming Top 10 EVs

  1. Audi Q6 e-tron

Based on Audi’s recently created Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which boasts the brand’s new “E3” electronics architecture and the newest battery and charging technologies, the Q6 e-tron is an entirely new electric SUV. Although the exact powertrain specifications are yet unknown, it will feature an 800V design with a about 600 km range. Its interior will have a front passenger screen in addition to Audi’s new infotainment system, which has dual screens arranged in a curved pattern.

The Q6 e-tron‘s second-generation digital OLED technology and sophisticated digital matrix LED headlamps with a multi-pixel LED array will undoubtedly be another topic of discussion. The Q6 e-tron, as its name implies, is probably going to be Audi’s more inexpensive, smaller electric SUV, and it will sit below the Q8 e-tron.

  1. BMW i5

The upcoming 5 Series will have an electric variant known as the i5, which will come in two variants: the M60 xDrive and the eDrive40, both of which have an 81.2kWh battery pack. With a top speed electronically limited to 230 kph, the M60 is a faster twin-motor all-wheel-drive variant that generates 601 horsepower and 820 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.8 seconds. With a 0-100kph pace of 6 seconds, the latter has a single motor that powers the back wheels and generates 340hp and 430Nm.

The single-motor model’s WLTP range is 582 km, while the twin-motor version’s maximum range is 516 km. Inside, it will have a twin-screen arrangement with the newest iDrive 8.5 system, a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Interestingly, it’s the first BMW available outside of China with a 100% vegan interior option.

  1. BYD Seal

The Seal, a sleek four-door electric sedan, will be BYD’s third offering in India. Its ultra-slippery drag coefficient of just 0.219 is a result of its low-slung aerodynamic design, which improves efficiency and performance alike. It makes use of BYD’s cutting-edge e-Platform 3.0, which integrates practically all powertrain components into a single unit, minimizing energy losses and increasing thermal efficiency. It also utilizes blade battery cells.

Its Cell-to-Body technology, which integrates the battery into the car’s structure, is another innovative feature. This enhances safety and has a favorable effect on the dynamics of the car. Its 3.8-second 0-100 kph acceleration time and advertised 700 km range on a single charge are additional attractions.

  1. Citroen eC3 Aircross

The eC3 Aircross, which is essentially an electric version of the C3 Aircross, is probably Citroen’s next electric offering. It makes sense that the C3 Aircross might eventually have an electric variant given its shared modular chassis, which accommodates both ICE and electric applications. Citroen could choose to employ a larger battery and motor to handle the Aircross’s increased size and weight, even though the eC3 hatchback utilizes a 29.2kWh battery and a 57hp electric motor. Similar to the gasoline variant, an option for a five- or seven-seater eC3 Aircross should be available.

  1. Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai plans to release a modified version of its electric Creta, which will be built on the internal combustion engine platform, in the third quarter of 2024. To set its electric vehicle apart from its internal combustion engine, Hyundai may add some distinctive design elements, but overall, the style should resemble that of the facelifted model. The interior design and equipment list of the story are probably going to be comparable to those of the ICE. Hyundai has not yet disclosed information regarding the battery capacity, anticipated range, or motor output. The MG ZS EV and Maruti’s planned eVX will be rivalled by the Creta EV.

  1. Lotus Eletre

The Eletre is marketed by Lotus as the “first electric hyper SUV in the world.” Its slick design is claimed to have the most sophisticated active aerodynamics package on any production SUV, and its body shell makes considerable use of lightweight materials including carbon fiber and aluminium. A 109kWh battery that operates on an 800V system powers all models. All models are twin-motor propelled and capable of all-wheel drive, although the “standard” and “S” models produce a potent 611 horsepower. In contrast, the “R” variant boasts a larger rear motor, a total output of 918 horsepower, and a claimed 0-100 kph acceleration time of less than three seconds.

  1. Mahindra XUV.e8

The Mahindra XUV.e8 will be the name of the electric variant of the XUV700. It will be based on Mahindra’s new INGLO EV platform, even though it has body panels identical to its ICE counterpart. It is anticipated to employ an 80kWh battery with two power outputs, 230 horsepower and 350 horsepower, and it may even have a twin-motor system for all-wheel drive. While many of the internal parts of the XUV700 will remain, the XUV.e8’s trio of screens—a digital instrument cluster, infotainment, and a new passenger screen—will elevate it above its gasoline- and diesel-powered siblings.

  1. Maruti Suzuki eVX

Maruti’s first born-electric SUV, which is being co-developed with Toyota, is nearing completion and is expected to go on sale late in 2019. The eVX, which was recently unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show in nearly production-ready condition, will be directly competitive with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, measuring about 4.3 meters in length and 2.7 meters in wheelbase. Anticipate Maruti to include a number of luxury features inside, including as ADAS, powered seats, a twin-screen layout, and a 360-degree camera. Two possible battery options are 60 kWh, which has a range of about 500 km, and 48 kWh, which has a range of about 400 km.

  1. Mercedes EQG

With a nearly identical boxy look to the rugged G-Class SUV, the new EQG is the electric version of that vehicle. However, Mercedes has made some bodywork changes to make the EQG as efficient and aerodynamic as feasible. The EQG is expected to be just as strong and capable as the internal combustion engine variant, and it will be built on a ladder-frame chassis. In addition, the EQG has four motors—one for each wheel—to give it significant off-road credentials. Interestingly, it also has a G-Turn mode that lets the car make an instant 360-degree turn by using the electric motors to rotate the wheels in opposite directions on the left and right.
