Bestune Xiaoma has a starting price of about 3.47 lakh rupees and has a range of 1200 kilometers

The Xiaoma Small Electric, which will be sold under the Bestune brand, will be introduced by China’s First Auto Works (FAW), enhancing its position in the micro-EV market. This electric vehicle’s pre-sales are expected to start this month. The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, the most popular microcar in China right now, will face up against the FAW Bestune Xiaoma. The price range for the Bestune Xiaoma is between 30,000 and 50,000 Yuan (about Rs. 3.47 lakh and 5.78 lakh).

The Bestune Xiaoma was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April of this year and initially came in both hardtop and convertible versions. However, only the hardtop form will be offered initially; it is still possible that the convertible version may be released at a later time. The vehicle has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and the dashboard has a stylish dual-tone design.

Bestune Xiaoma features

The Xiaoma Small Electric radiates a fun, dynamic appearance because of its distinctive boxy design and dual-tone color scheme. Large square headlamps with rounded corners and aerodynamic wheels intended to maximize range are notable design components. The bumper and tail lamps on the back of the automobile match, maintaining the overall design motif.

The Xiaoma FME platform, on which the Bestune Xiaoma is based, includes a specific chassis for electric vehicles and range-extender variants. Two sub-platforms, A1 and A2, make up the FME platform and were created to support vehicles with various wheelbases. The extender model has a range of 1200 kilometers, while the EV variation has a range of more than 800 kilometers. An 800 V architecture is supported by both systems.

The micro-EV’s back axle houses a single 20 kW electric motor that powers the vehicle’s interior. A lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery from Goshan and REPT is installed in the car. There are still more powertrain specifics to be revealed. The Bestune Xiaoma is equipped with three doors and a driver-side airbag for added security. The car has the following dimensions: 3000mm in length, 1510mm in width, 1630mm in height, and 1,953mm in wheelbase.
