Tata Punch EV could make its debut in November 2023

With the impending release of the Tata Punch EV in November 2023, Tata Motors is prepared to increase the selection of electric vehicles available. The future tiny electric car will have an all-electric drivetrain underneath but will keep some of the design cues from the ICE Punch.

The majority of the body panels, alloy wheel design, and proportions of the EV will be the same as those of the standard Punch. To differentiate it from its internal combustion engine sister, it will have a slightly redesigned front-end design without a grille and possibly additional detailing on the headlights and taillights. Additionally, it will have noticeable ‘EV’ badges on the interior and outside.

Tata Punch EV Features:

It will utilise the same ALFA platform from Tata. The EV model will be equipped with the same 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the previously unveiled electric sunroof within the cabin. A new two-spoke steering wheel will be added to the electrified vehicle. On the horn pad, there might be an illuminated logo display.

For the electric version, Tata Motors also revamped the centre console, replacing the traditional gear lever with a new rotary drive selection. In other recent spy photos, a camera system is also visible up front and on the ORVMs, leading us to suspect that it will also receive a 360-degree parking camera system.

It is anticipated to receive the same engine as the Tiago and Tigor EVs, despite the fact that specifics on the battery pack and technical specifications have not yet been made public. The Tigor is equipped with a 74 HP motor and a 26 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack with a 306 km claimed range. The Punch EV might be available with the same specifications.

Price-wise, the Tata Punch EV is anticipated to be in the Rs. 13–15 lakh (ex-showroom) range. In the Indian market, it will face off against the Citroen eC3.
