MG Motors releases the new SUV-ZS electric vehicle (EV) with Level 2 autonomous technology

The new electric vehicle (EV) “SUV-ZS” with Autonomous Level 2 technology and 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features was introduced by British automaker MG Motors India on Wednesday. 

According to the business, the new EV’s 50.3kWh advanced prismatic battery will give it a driving range of 461 km on a single charge and is priced at Rs 27.89 lakh. Users will enjoy a better driving experience thanks to ADAS technology, which offers help, control, and comfort in a variety of driving scenarios.

According to a statement from Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motors India, “MG Motor India seeks to accelerate the transition towards a zero-emission future and help boost the EV ecosystem in India by offering a viable, attractive ownership experience and an accessible electric SUV to Indian consumers.”

Additionally, the business claimed that the ZS EV 8-layer hairpin motor produces 176PS power and accelerates vehicles from 0 to 100 km/h in under 8.5 seconds. The EV has three driving settings—Eco, Normal, and Sport—so that the driver can tailor the vehicle to his or her preferences.

MG Motors’ Autonomous Level 2 technology

To improve the driving experience and the safety of the passengers, the 17 ADAS features have three levels of sensitivity: low, medium, and high, as well as three levels of warning: tactile, audio, and visual. The new MG Motors EV, which combines electric power, internet connectivity, and autonomous capabilities, represents the advancement of electric mobility. 

Additionally, it includes iSMART next-generation technology, a combination of hardware, software, services, and applications that offers over 75 connected car capabilities for more enjoyable and hassle-free driving.
