Simple One vs Ather 450X: With the official introduction of the Simple One electric scooter, the Bangalore-based EV firm hopes to compete with Ather, one of India’s premier electric scooter businesses. The Simple One is priced similarly to the Ather 450X, and they share many features.
Simple One vs Ather 450X – Design
The Simple One and the Ather 450X appear identical at first glance, with an angular and sporty design language. The Simple One, on the other hand, is slightly wider in the front and has a distinct set of DRLs that tell it apart from the Ather 450X.
The design of the Ather has been around for many years, and no one can mistake it for another scooter. The 450X has a minimalistic design language with a slightly athletic seating posture, as well as the appropriate amount of body trim and no unnecessary dimensions. The Simple One appears slightly bulkier than the Ather, although it is also well-proportioned.
Simple One vs Ather 450X – Features
Both the Simple One and the Ather 450X electric scooters have telescopic front forks, a mono-shock at the rear, disc brakes on both ends, 12-inch wheels, ride modes, and a huge TFT instrument display with a slew of connection options such as GPS and smartphone communication.
The Ather’s user interface is sleek, making it as easy to operate as a smartphone. However, the scooter has yet to be tested in real-world situations, so it is unclear whether easy is that easy.
Simple One vs Ather 450X – Battery
The Simple One has a battery setup similar to the Hero Vida V1 – a hybrid system with a permanent and detachable battery. According to Simple Energy, the combined 5kWh pack has a range of 212km. The electric scooter has a top speed of 105kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in 2.7 seconds.
The Ather 450X has a fixed 3.4 kWh battery pack with a certified range of 146km, can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in 3.3 seconds, and tops out at 90kmph. On paper, the Ather is less powerful than the Simple One, but the 450X is more than adequate for most users.
The Simple One’s detachable battery charges in 2 hours and 7 minutes, while the fixed pack takes 3 hours and 47 minutes. At home, the Ather’s battery pack may be fully charged in 5 hours and 40 minutes.
