The MG Comet EV has been unveiled by MG Motor India. According to leaked technical details, including dimensions, the electric automobile appears little on paper. The Comet EV is 2,974mm long, 1,505mm wide, and 1,631mm tall. The wheelbase is 2,010mm long. The Tata Nano measured 3,164mm long, 1,750mm wide, and 1,552mm height. It had a wheelbase of 2,230mm.
Surprisingly, the Tata Nano is larger in every way than the MG Comet EV. MG’s inexpensive three-door electric vehicle appears modest from the outside. However, it remains to be seen how the corporation has used the inside space.
The MG Comet EV sports a 42PS/110Nm electric motor and a 17.3kWh lithium-ion battery.
Using a 3.3kW charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in 7 hours and from 10% to 80% in 5 hours. According to reports, the MG Comet EV has a range of 230 kilometres on a single full charge.
The MG Comet EV is based on the Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform developed by SAIC-GM-Wuling. LED headlamps, LED taillamps, a 10.25-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an Apple iPod-inspired twin-spoke multi-function steering wheel are among the notable features. The price of the MG Comet EV is between Rs 7.98 lakh upto Rs 9.98 lakh.
