Data revealed that over 1,500 electric vehicles have registered in the city from the publication of the EV policy in September 2022 to the end of March 31, 2023. There were 1,095 two-wheelers, 353 four-wheelers, and 102 three-wheelers among them. Currently, an EV buyer must visit the Crest office to submit documents such as the EV’s invoice and others in order to qualify for the discounts. The sum is released after processing and adhering to the requirements.

Debendra Dalai, chief executive officer, Crest, said,” The objective of the EV policy is being achieved. More and more people are gradually switching over from internal combustion engine to EV in the city. The process of seeking incentives is simple and the amount is being disbursed on time.”
