Hyundai Creta spied testing on Indian Roads

When it comes to compact SUVs, the Hyundai Creta reigns supreme in terms of volume. Sales typically range from 10,000 to 15,000 per month. Since EVs will be essential in the near future, their popularity is on the rise. According to rumours, Hyundai is developing an electric Hyundai Creta that will compete with the MG ZS EV in 2025.

In terms of their EV strategy, Hyundai appears to be adopting a top-down strategy. Starting with more expensive EVs, we move down to cheaper cars. Hyundai Creta Electric, also known as SU2i EV internally, is already under development. It has since been spotted again, this time with very little camouflage.

The test mule for the Hyundai Creta EV is dressed in the same style as the current Creta. By the time it is released, the design will likely have changed.

The final product may be displayed at the 2025 Auto Show. Hyundai is creating the e-GMP platform in addition to the Creta EV for scalability in both domestic and international markets. There will be a lot of competition for Hyundai’s cost-effective Creta Electric by 2025.

First and foremost, the electric Maruti YY8 SUV, which goes on sale around the same time as the Hyundai Creta EV.
