Mahindra launches its long-awaited XUV400 EV in India for Rs 15.99 lakh

Mahindra & Mahindra has finally launched its long-awaited first all-electric SUV, the XUV400, in India, with a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mahindra XUV400 comes in two models: the XUV400 EC and the XUV400 EL. According to the brand, the introductory prices apply to the first 5,000 bookings for each variant.

Mahindra provides the all-electric SUV with a three-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty. It also comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer battery and motor warranty. Given the challenges of semiconductor demand and supply, as well as the availability of battery packs, the company expects to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 this year.

The all-electric Mahindra XUV400 will be available for reservations beginning January 26th, 2023. Deliveries for the XUV400 EL will begin in March 2023, and deliveries for the XUV400 EC will begin during the Diwali holiday season. Customers can now take an electrifying test drive at their local Mahindra dealership.

In its segment, the Mahindra XUV400’s battery and motor produce a peak power of 110kW (150PS) and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. The all-electric SUV has an IDC range of 375 km (XUV400 EC) and 456 km (XUV400) (XUV400 EL). It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 150 kilometres per hour.

Because of its overall length of 4,200mm, width of 1,821mm, and wheelbase of 2,600mm, the Mahindra XUV400 EV has a spacious cabin. The XUV400 has a boot space of 378 liters/418 litres (up to the roof), a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette seats with blue stitching, and a leather steering wheel with audio controls.
