Hyundai Ioniq 6: Hyundai debuts new Sedan EV at Auto Expo 2023

India’s top automaker Hyundai has streamed the Auto Expo 2023 event. The new event introduces the Ioniq 6 EV sedan. The EV had already been launched in June 2022. The Ioniq 6 is using the brand’s  E-GMP skateboard architecture that also pinned the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6.

Hyundai’s new Ioniq 6 follows the Prophecy concept with several long curves and creases along with an aerodynamic silhouette. Hyundai exposes that Ioniq 6 holds a drag coefficient of just 0.21. It has helped by flush doe handles with cameras but replacing traditional wing mirrors. On the rear note, the Ioniq 6 has pixel-style LED tail lights, with a ducktail rear spoiler with a curved shoulder line similar to the Prophecy concept.

Hyundai Ioniq 6: Interior Details 

The inside of the Ioniq 6 will give you a luxurious feel with a flat central console that was previously seen on the Ioniq 5 with such a minimalist design for the dashboard. In the Ioniq 6, the attractive feature is a 12-inch screen one for the instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system. If you draw a comparison between Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, we will say that Ioniq 6 has a more driver-centric position.

The EV has featured more driver-centric touches such as ‘EV Performance tune-up’ that permits the driver to highlight multiple drive mode configurations for several situations. On keeping the matter of sustainability, Ioniq 6’s interior has been trimmed mostly for eco-friendly materials such as flax-seed-dyed artificial leather.

Hyundai Ioniq 6: Features 

Ioniq 6 really has made a powerful comeback with two-battery size options, while the entry-level is 54kWh, and another is larger than 77kWh. Ioniq 6 has launched with single-motor RWD with higher variants on getting dual-motor set-up that makes 320hp and 605Nm as Ioniq 5, as the RWD set-up has churned our 228hp and 250Nm. 

In terms of the WLTP-certified range, the EV stands well as the Ioniq 6 ranging 429km for the RWD 53kWh version up to 614km for the 77.4kWh version, and up to 583km for the AWD variant.
