EV penetration for Premium Scooters is now whopping 92%

The EV craze has started since the COVID outbreak relaxed in India and for over a year now India is booming with record EV sales be it two-wheelers or four-wheelers. However, there’s a slight edge to two-wheeler EVs because of the government subisides people are going for them because there’s no range anxiety because most people use them for daily commute which won’t require more than 100km of riding daily.

As tech gets even better with time and Made-in-India batteries gain spotlight, the price-to-performance ratio of upcoming two-wheeler EVs will spike all of a sudden. Coming back to our discussion, scooters have seen a huge boom in sales expecially when it comes to EVs because multiple brands like Okinawa, Hero Electric, Ampere, Ola and others have bagged into the race of providing best scoooter EVs to consumers. But thanks to Ola, because of its genius product, marketing and pricing, they have come a lot way in a short span of time.

Commanding of about 50% market share as of November 2022, OLA is totally changing the game and is not stopping by the launch of Ola S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro. Now with support for hypercharging network people are able to ride 50km with just 15min of charging but yes, the huge market of India is opening up and electrifying with time where OLA continues to grasp handsome market share in the scooters space.
