Maruti Suzuki eVX EV SUV to debut by October 2024

In January, Maruti Suzuki displayed its eVX concept at Auto Expo 2023. Looking back, we noticed a model aka Maruti Suzuki eVX attempting to conceal herself in the European region while taking a headshot photo. This electric SUV is advertised as having a 550-kilometer range on a single charge. In October 2024, the first electric vehicle produced by the firm will be put into mass production globally. What is known is listed below.

The eVX, the world’s first electric car, is being developed by Maruti Suzuki and Toyota as a strategic partner. The homegrown manufacturer would assemble electric vehicles at its Gujarat facilities. When it debuts, this SUV will face off against vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV MAX and the future Mahindra XUV400 EV in the premium mid-size segment.

The born-EV SUVs from Maruti and Toyota will be produced in Suzuki’s Gujarat factory, which can produce over 1.25 lakh vehicles annually when operating at full capacity. This will serve both the domestic and international markets as the mother factory for both SUVs. Despite being a global product, the SUV’s first country of sale will be India. The 40PL electric skateboard design, which is internally known as 27PL and is significantly localised, is the basis for Maruti’s eVX SUV and its Toyota counterpart.
