One engineer, who joined the company out of “admiration” for the 1989 R32 Skyline, is the creator of the R32 Skyline EV. The car’s rear is depicted in the video to have a large exhaust system and to have undergone no obvious changes from the combustion model, which is well-known for its charismatic twin-turbocharged straight-six engine. It’s possible that the R32 Skyline EV will have exterior speakers, similar to the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore and Abarth 500e, since the video features the 2.6-liter engine’s exhaust note.

The Attesta ET-S system, the mechanical drivetrain used in the R35 Nissan GT-R, which was discontinued in early 2022 after 13 years, is said to have the same software and hardware configuration as this all-wheel drive system, according to Nissan.
Last year the Nissan Nismo CEO, Takao Katagiri stated that his division is preparing a custom electrified flagship and now it has released this most recent teaser. The R32 Skyline EV may have influenced the flagship, which is anticipated to appear this decade and may be Nissan’s first step towards electrifying the GT-R badge.
The Ariya and Leaf, which were introduced in 2022 and 2010, respectively, are the Japanese company’s current electric models. As part of the company’s transition away from its well-liked e-Power hybrid powertrain, the Qashqai, Juke, and X-Trail are also scheduled to be electrified starting in 2025.
